I am Joanna Chołuj
I’m the graduate of Polish Philology (Masters) and the Teacher’s College of French and English (licence) at Warsaw University. I did also the post-diploma studies in Management and IT at ORmasz Institute in Warsaw. I made also a webmaster’s course, and desktop publishing designing course, as well as I did the course of tourist tour guide.

I have got also the language diplomas: TOEFL, IELTS, CAE, CPE, Alliance Francaise diploma.

I have always liked learning languages. I was inventing the new ones when I was a childn. And later on I used to learn Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish, Norvegian, Urdu, Russian and German. I teach my children French, English, Spanish and Russian.

I have been a teacher for almost twenty years and a caregiver and tutor for over twenty years.

I have been teaching foreign languages in state schools of all levels (creche,  kindergartens, primary school, secondary school, high school and technical high school, professional school) and in language schools for children and adults ( Helen Doron, British School, ).
I am also the mother of two sons and a homeschooling parent for my children.
In 2012 I created first the educational, creative and carecenter for school children, then a foreign languages and creative activities center Omnibusik (a kind of language school). I organised many creative activities and semicolonies (summer city camps) for children during summer holidays. If fact, I have always worked with children. First, there were my cousins in my big family, later on I work charitably in church organisations as a caregiver and tutor for teenagers, and I participated in summer youth church camps as a tutor, singer and church choir leader.

Before I became a teacher , I worked also as an assistant in companies Castorama, Polish Telecommunications, as a translator and assistant in the embassy of Pakistan or as a translator and corrector/editor part time.

I also used to work and live abroad: two years in the US (Super Technologies company), 2 years in France (au pair, nanny, tutor , private teacher).

I worked as well abroad for charity. In USA I worked as a helper of the librarian at PEnsacola University library, and as client service assisant in the Navy base in Pensacola FL.
All my creative and foreign languages activities I organise and invent are done according to my own, original method. It is the mixture of many teaching forms and the experience of consultant and pedagogue.  It all comes from my long practice and the way I look at each person, be it a child or an adult – individually. I am always looking for a way to find connections and built relationships.

I have been also for quite a long time already a website owner, a blogger, youtuber and writer (prose and poetry). I have won some writing competitions in Poland for a story for children and the best poem. My poems and stories are printed in anthologies. I strive now to publish my books on my own, as well as I keep on writing blogs and making films. Check contact tab for details.
