I am a graduate of Polish Studies (MA full-time studies) and College of English and French (BA double major part-time studies) at the University of Warsaw. I finished both majors with very good grades and honors. My master’s thesis was published in the journal „Baroque” in 1999.
I also completed postgraduate studies in Information Technology and Management.
I have also completed a webmaster course, a graphic designer course (desktop publishing), and a tour guide course.
I have language diplomas: TOEFL, TEF, IELTS, CAE, CPE, Alliance Francaise diploma. I have always enjoyed learning languages, so I have also studied Portuguese, Arabic, Spanish, Urdu, Russian, Norwegian and German.
I am a linguist, owner of a language school and a writer, in addition to my other life activities. I am interested in grammar. I have written several books that propose a reform of Polish grammar and many methods for teaching grammar effectively. You can also find a description of my GRAMMATICS COURSE in the Languages and Grammar tab.
I teach my children in homeschooling English, French, Spanish and Russian. This connects very strongly with travel. I have always been drawn to the world. First it was the Taize movement and prayers in different languages in various European capitals. Then trips ahead „for one smile” with a cheap ticket in my pocket. Several years living and working in the USA, multiple longer and shorter stays in France, Holland, Pakistan, the Arab Emirates, Hungary. Today I travel with my children.
I have been a teacher for almost twenty years, and a tutor and tutor for more than twenty. For ten years I ran my own language school in Poland in real life (2013-2023). This school moved online and took the shape of FrIngel School.
I have taught languages in state schools of all levels (nursery, kindergarten, elementary school, middle school, vocational and general high school and vocational and technical school ) and language schools for children and adults (including Helen Doron, British School, VSchool). I am also a mother of two sons and an educator of my own children in education
out-of-school (home) education.
In 2012, I created a language school, an educational day care center and a creative and language center called Omnibusik. I have taught numerous lessons, creative activities and organized language half-schools.
I have been involved in languages since I was a child – I just created them , invented them and taught them to their cousins. It worked in practice as a secret children’s code. Since childhood I also wrote poetry and prose.
When I was 18-23 years old I was doing WHOLE things – philosophy, Thomism namely, I was doing talks in church (sic!), and dealing with the doctrine of Catholicism – I was leading classes in groups. From the age of 23 I started tutoring in Polish, French, English. I taught Polish children abroad as well.
I got a 6 on my Polish baccalaureate exam, that was the first year those 6s came in. I started writing a topic that suited me – after which my Polish teacher came (that’s how matura used to be… ) and asked, or rather instructed me to write „this topic that no one else writes” that is, about poetry. That’s fine. I crossed it out. I wrote. To me it was all the same what I was writing, to write
I knew how to do everything. There were quite a lot of people for one place in Polish Studies, how many I can’t remember at the moment. I got in without any problems.
My master’s thesis was about 250 pages a4, it was an in-depth linguistic and literary analysis of a seventeenth century STARODRUK, a French old print and a Polish old print. This is a high level of knowledge of Polish and French.
I also got into Roman Studies twice, but I didn’t have time to study anymore because I went to work in the INFORMATION DIVISION of a FRENCH COMPANY.
I used to write poems and prose all the time. I have three unpublished novels and
thousands of poems. Several reprints in group volumes – post-competition. And one volume
of my own. 100 p. I don’t have more because I WOULD HAVE TO SPEND FOR POETRY
MONEY. And a waste of time to participate in contests and write under the theme. And a waste of time to buy into the good graces of publishing houses and endless correspondence to them.
I’ve also always felt that I was exploring the language more than creatively recreating.
But the truth here lies in the middle. I am both a researcher with a huge
workshop as well as a poet.
Before I took up teaching foreign languages professionally, I worked as a librarian at the University of Warsaw Library in the KABA IT department(I created an IT catalog), then as an assistant , translator and infrmatics support worker I worked in IT or technology departments at Castorama and Telekomunikacja Polska; then I worked as a translator and assistant at the Embassy of Pakistan; and as a freelance translator and proofreader at various publishing houses.
I worked and lived abroad: two years in the USA (Super Technologies company – customer service and translator), 2 years in France (au pair, nanny, tutor). I also worked charitably in the US as a librarian’s assistant in the library at the University of Florida and as customer service at a military base in Pensacola FL.
Since 1999 I already owned my own home page, and later became a blogger , youtuber, writer (poetry and prose) . I won several literary contests (for a short story, and several in which my poem was honored). My poetry and short story excerpts have been published in anthologies in book form by the Old Town Cultural Center, the Korale Association and the Word Seekers Club at the Piaseczno library. I also published my own book of poems and had a beautiful multimedia poetry evening.
